In the beginning of our marriage, I was filled with anxiety, bitterness, resentment, and stress. No matter what Cody did, it seemed wrong. I had more bad days than good. And after becoming a mom, it only escalated. Think slamming doors and knock down drag out fights. On the outside, we were the perfect couple. But on the inside, I was struggling. I felt neglected and abandoned. Our communication was horrible. I was obsessed with my business and chasing success and money. I was so hyper focused on proving my worth, to who…I’m not even sure. I just knew I needed more. More money. More achievements. More freedom. But that idea of more led me to extreme burn-out, overwhelm, and unhappiness. I didn’t have time for my husband. I didn’t have time for my son. I didn’t have time for myself. I was at my lowest, and didn’t even have time to recognize it! I was faking it till I made it and believed this must be just how life goes. 

Then God got a hold of me. He put me around the right people to show me a different way of doing business. He brought people into my life who encouraged me to grow in areas like my health, my mindset, and my marriage. He brought people into my life that helped me understand my worth wasn’t tied into what I did, but in WHOSE I was. I began to understand my true identity as a daughter of God and his good and loving nature as my Father. I began to pursue HIM more than I pursued my business. More than I pursued my husband. And it changed everything.
